ABBY VINSON, M.A., LMFT, SEP
Abby Vinson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in addiction, trauma, and other mental health issues. She received her Masters Degree from California State University, Northridge. She has vast experience working with substance abuse and dual diagnosis at prominent facilities such as Promises Treatment Centers. She has extensive training in the field, having started in community mental health at Airport Marina Counseling Service, providing psychotherapy to groups, individuals, families, and couples. Focusing on the mind-body connection, Abby has also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with Steven Hayes, UCLA’s mindfulness Intensive Practice Program at MARC, the Post Induction Therapy Model with Pia Mellody at the Meadows, and The Trauma Resource Institute’s Community Resource Model.
Currently, Abby is in the doctoral program at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis and is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
In her spare time, Abby volunteers for the esteemed veteran’s organization, Strength in Support, and is an Advisor to the Board.
