Stacey Santamaria is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has practiced in Los Angeles since 1999. Stacey received a Bachelors Degree in psychology from the University of California Santa Cruz. She was then a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy program. Stacey began her clinical work at AIDS Service Center in Pasadena facilitating group and individual sessions for those impacted by HIV. She then took on the position of Assistant Director, and then Director, of USC’s Center for Women and Men, a 24-hour/7 day a week crisis center. After three years in this position, Stacey transitioned to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to further her goal of working directly with families. Stacey was a staff therapist as part of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ “Families Working Together” program.
With a passion for helping families in crisis, and a desire to work with families specifically impacted by addiction issues, Stacey has since facilitated individual, group, and family sessions at Discovery, Clearview Treatment Center, and in her private practice. She is delighted to bring these skills to One to One Treatment. In addition to her extensive therapeutic experience, Stacey is an avid researcher who has conducted research for UCLA/RAND, UCSC, UCSD Medical School and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Her research has been published and was presented at the Western Psychology Conference and American Psychological Association. Stacey’s experience also includes training with Pia Mellody and her Post Induction Therapy Model and the Trauma Resiliency Model.
